Sunday 24th of September German voters will decide on the future of CDUs Chancellor Angela Merkel. Will she win a fourth consecutive election or will SPDs Martin Schulz be the next Chancellor? How will the election influence the future of the European Union? In light of the Trump presidency, many international actors are looking to Germany for international leadership. Will Germany accept its new global role?
Panelists: Dr. Niko Switek, Institute for Political Science & NRW School of Governance, University of Duisburg-Essen, Kate Hansen Bundt, Secretary General of the Norwegian Atlantic Committee, and Espen Barth Eide, Former Minister of Foreign Affairs (Labour).
Breakfast is served from 7.45 am. A Q&A session will follow after the introductions.
