Migration and Freedom

Migration is a positive force for Norway and many other countries in the world. Yet, we most often discuss the challenges and negative impacts of immigration. We desire a better debate on these questions because we believe that migration as an issue will remain high on the political agenda. At the same time, we need to admit that many politicians and political parties hesitate to make immigration a top-priority issue, as it is not a winning issue among constituents. A think tank can raise question and challenge conventional wisdoms without fearing opinion polls and losing votes. We hope that our liberal approach to these questions can contribute to an improved and constructive political debate in Norway.
